Business Telephone Service For Small Organizations

Business Telephone Service For Small Organizations

There is a definite need for business telephone service for many different organizational sizes. The needs of a small organization are certainly not the same as those possessing a large corporate structure, but at the same time they still require the same type of service albeit on a smaller scale. In other words they require reliable business telephone service with enough telephones to accommodate all those within the organization. Whether the organization is goods or services oriented is of little importance as far as the quality of service they require in a telephone system.

One of the first things you need to evaluate within your organization is how many telephone lines are necessary. If you provide your callers with a toll free number to call, you also need to analyze how the callers will connect to the telephone of the person they need to reach will it be a direct extension or random based upon the time the call was received? For those who wish to speak to a specific person, there will need to be a direct way for them to connect to that person or a way for the person to return the telephone call in cases where incoming calls are not accepted, the case in many telemarketing agencies.

Some of the factors that an organization must keep in mind include the following:

* Hours of operation
* Number of telephone lines required
* Type of lines required PSTN, ISDN 2 or ISDN 102030
* Do you want 100 Number DID lines so callers can directly call an extension without going through the main number?
* Do you need a incoming 1300 or 1800 number ... toll free number?
* Does your organization wish to have all mobile phone, landline and ADSL internet services with the one carrier.
* Whats the support like? Is it located offshore and use voice activated prompts or do you get to talk to a real human in the same country you operate from?

Before you order business telephone service you need to make sure you know exactly what services your organization needs. Keep in mind the more services you choose, the more you will pay. Therefore, you want to choose a provider that allows your organization to choose what it needs rather than one that has specific package deals without the opportunity to customize to the needs of your organization.

Some organizations also want to include packages that include mobile and Internet service. This makes it easier for billing purposes and is usually less expensive than ordering individual services. The size of your organization will determine whether it will be financially sound to choose a service provider that offers billing for all services in one package.
